Detailing is most of what we do, and it is nothing like a car wash. A wash gets the dirt off the outside. A detail resets the whole car, inside and out, by hand.
A full detail is a day's work on a car, and the order matters. Interior first so nothing lands on clean paint, then the outside from the top down, then protection last.
Every detail shop around here leads with ceramic coating, and plenty of them do it well. We do not offer it, and we would rather tell you that up front than sell you a lesser version of it.
What we do instead is a properly prepped, hand-applied wax or sealant, which on a daily driver that gets washed regularly is honestly most of the benefit for a fraction of the cost. If what you actually want is a multi-year coating, we will say so and you should go get one.
Daily drivers that have not been touched in two years. Trade-ins that need to photograph well before they get listed. Farm and work trucks after a winter of road salt. Cars that got hail dust, tree sap or a bird problem parked in the wrong spot.
There is no minimum standard your car has to meet to come in. Rough cars are the ones where the difference is most worth paying for.
A basic detail runs two to four hours. A full interior and exterior detail takes most of a day. You get a real window when you book, not a vague sometime today.
For most packages you can wait or drop it off and go about your day. Anything involving vinyl needs controlled shop time, so those are by appointment.
Once or twice a year for a daily driver, and the exterior half more often if the car lives outside. Between details, a proper hand wash does more good than most people expect.
