Jay Wrapz  /  Work Truck Lettering & Fleet

Your truck is already
driving past them.

A work van sitting at a jobsite all day is the cheapest advertising a contractor owns, and most of them are blank. Lettering, logos and partial wraps for trades around Adams and York County.

The Case For It

Paid once, seen for years.

Every trade around here fights for the same jobs off the same handful of channels. Meanwhile the truck sits in a customer's driveway for six hours where the whole street can see it, and it says nothing. Lettering is a one-time cost that keeps working every day the truck is out.

The neighbours who watched you re-roof a house are the warmest leads you will ever get. They just need a name and a number they can read from the sidewalk.

What Works

Readable beats clever.

The mistake on most work vehicles is treating the side of a van like a business card. Six lines of tiny text, a list of every service, a website in a script font. Nobody reads it at 35 miles an hour.

Anything past that is decoration. If you already have a logo we work to it, and if you do not, plain bold lettering outperforms a bad logo every time.

Scale

One truck or the whole fleet.

Options run from a name and number on both doors and the tailgate, up through a partial wrap across the rear quarter, up to a full color change on a fleet so every vehicle matches. Most contractors around here start with one truck, see what it does, and bring the rest in after.

If you run several vehicles, doing them together keeps the colors and layout consistent, which is the entire point of a fleet looking like a fleet.

Questions

Straight answers.

Will lettering hurt the resale value of the truck?

No. Vinyl lettering comes off cleanly and the paint under it has been protected the whole time. It is one of the reasons lettering beats a paint job for a work vehicle.

Do you design the layout or do I need artwork ready?

Either. Bring artwork if you have it. If not, we lay it out from your name, number and what you do, and you approve it before anything gets cut.

Can you do a magnet instead?

Magnets peel off at highway speed, trap dirt against the paint and leave an outline where they sat. If the vehicle is yours, vinyl is better in every way that matters.

Do you do fleets outside New Oxford?

Yes. Most of this work comes from contractors around Hanover, Gettysburg and York.
